For Michelle, painting is a satisfying and creative way for her to communicate the joy and beauty in the world around her. Her paintings largely focus on animals and their habitat. She has lived in the picturesque states of Utah, Alaska, and currently Arizona. Michelle takes delight in hiking into the areas that inspire her compositions, taking reference photos and studying the unique characteristics of wildlife and environment. Observing the drama of nature and releasing it on canvas is her joy. Michelle enjoys creating in her Arizona home art studio as well as plein air painting.
